SOUND of GAMES was founded in 2010 by Filipp Issa and Michael Emperiom. Their goal is simple but high: Make music and sound that players fall in love with! And their dedication works: Filipp and Michael receive hundrets of fan letters from all around the globe – from gamers that simply love listening to their music while playing their favorite games.


Over the years Filipp and Michael have build close relationships to game developers all around the globe. But instead of growing the company big and go into mass production, they have chosen to serve a rather small but selected group of game developers and therefore offer them an extraordinary approach, that puts close partnerships over simple B2B businesses.


Filipp and Michael focus on excellent service and take responsibility for making every game a success. Working off tasks is not their thing! They want to be a part of your journey from your early concept until you climb the charts. Always in focus: The gamers and their best possible gaming experience.

About Michael Emperiom


Michael Emperiom is a classical trained composer who can write orchestra arrangements per hand easily. Michael has studied classical composition and audio engineering and was probably in the last generation that learned to record fully analog on a large mixing desk and a tape machine.


Before founding SOUND of GAMES with Filipp, he has been the studio lead producer of Early Bird Records, a Hamburg/Germany based studio complex, where he composed for film and TV, made foley and synchronisation recordings, and produced countless international music acts.

His first musical contact was in music pre-school at the age of 4, where he argued with the teacher that his name should be sang in 5th intervalls, rather than in major 3rds. At 5, his grandfather, also a musician, gave him his first violin. At the age of 12, Michael already played in orchestras and had music lessons for violin, flute and piano 5 days a week, followed by saxophone and guitar. At 18 he was common with all major classical compositions that you can imagine. When Michael started with university at 20, he already had 8 years of orchestra experience. At school – while struggeling with his grades – he scored and produced for local rock bands and hiphop acts – starting with ProTracker software on his Amiga 500. But he also spent countless hours playing video games!

So the symbiosis between music and video games was set! But before Michael was ready for SOUND of GAMES, he was perfecting his skills: during and after university, Michael had the honour to learn song writing and producing from legends who have worked with Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson, and to score music for famous TV series and Movies. He did so for 10 years and he truly can say: There’s no genre of audio production he hasn’t made!
